Homeowners automatically enrolls all employees into a 401(k) account the first of the month following 30 days of employment at 6% , pre-tax. A ROTH option is also available. To help employees save for retirement, HFG’s 401(k) plan has an added auto-escalation feature, which means that an employee’s deferral percentage will increase each year automatically by 1% up to a cap of 10% to help employees reach their retirement goals. Employer match is discretionary each year.

For 2023, the IRS contribution limit is $22,500 with a $7,500 catch-up contribution for employees 50 years old and older.
